Nigerian need to ask questions

Mr Fashola and many other politicians in government made a lot of false promises of uhuru.
They sold the idea to a desperate populace that changing the alphabets on their voting sheet, increases the megawatts that will be available….today Mr Fashola says lawsuits have stalled power output…were these court cases instituted in May 2015?
I honestly DO NOT blame the politicians. …they are doing their jobs…
I put the full blame on a gullible voters easily moved by the words of politicians. ..why can we not ask basic questions?
A political party says they will pay N5000 to 25m Nigerians. ..ie N1.5t every year as crude oil prices were falling…..the party has every right to say it…..but were basic questions asked by the voters ? Like how sir? where we would get N1.5t annually? ….No
Today i have heard the Min of Information say once the budget is passed millions will be lifted out of poverty…how sir?..how many millions sir?..
The Minister of Mines says Ajaokuta will be revived in his tenor?….how?…how will a complex dead since the 1980s be revived ? How sir? Where is the plan? the investors?
The president wants APC states to build 250,000 homes…how sir? Most States cant pay salaries, Where are the single digit mortgage loans?
Is it possible to build 250,000 homes? Lift millions out of poverty, even put Ajaokuta to use,….YES. What lets see a plan….a pathway…a milestone. …I want the voters to demand for this….not come later and blame the politicians for failed promises.
Some promises are failed just by reason of logic…eg we will reduce price of petrol, guarantee availability and not deregulate the sector….how sir? Are you a magician?
If Nigerians start to ask questions. …then the politicians will be forced to actually defend their plans. …thus indicating an review to match promise to delivery. Case in point ..the 25m Nigerians who will get N5000 has been reduced to N1m Nigerians. If the questions asked about this scheme were asked before the elections. .not after elections, maybe just maybe the voters would have understood 25m was a pipe dream
In summary, when a politician makes a promise…ask him….how Sir?
Its our problem, we can fix it
