The “North” Lags In JAMB Applications and Admissions

There are more important things than $1 to N516…

The total number of JAMB applicants from Imo State alone (103,122) is more than the combined applications from six states, namly

  1. Kebbi (12,643)
  2. Sokoto (13,477)
  3. Zamfara (7,303)
  4. Katsina (27,550)
  5. Jigawa (14,613) and
  6. Yobe (12,268)

How is this possible?

Osun State alone has more JAMB applicants than Kano and Jigawa combined. that is a wide variance considering the resouces at the disposal of Kano via FAAC disbursements.

Why is this important?

I found this statement, allow me share.  “No nation can develop beyond the quality of its education, as a nation’s overall advancement is a direct function of the quality of the educational attainment of its citizens” (Ololube, Egbezor, Kpolovie and Amaele, 2012).

it speaks for itself…
