Dear Director General of Federal Ministry, Department or Agency, kindly find below a list of subjects you are not allow to bring up, discuss and comment on. Please ensure compliance….

  1. Census: while you may comment on the final numbers of the census, you may not question the breakdown nor call to question why the Nigerian census shows more people live in the deserts than the coasts as is practice across the World.
  2. Taxing Churches: this is an absolute NO NO….Whatever guidance is issued by the Federal Inland Revenue Service or Ministry of Finance, no mention should be made of taxing churches, especially near an election year.
  3. Security Votes: please note these are simple discretionary expenses not security votes. you are not to refer to them as security votes, they do not appear in any budget as security votes. We advise frequent donations are made to police formation in you States from these accounts.
  4. Petroleum Industry Governance Bill: PIB, now PIGB is a delicate bill, while the name says “Petroleum” its actually a ‘Revenue” bill that will affect revenue distribution of income. stay clear
  5. Sharia: another absolute NO NO NO…comments on powers of Hisbah to seize private goods from private premises which technically is trespass are strictly forbidden. remember Kano has 4m block votes
  6. Promotion Exams for Senior Civil Servants: This is a banana peel. an seemly innocuous topic that is loaded to question Federal Character principle which is a constitutional matter. Deflect
  7. Oransanya Report, is a report on reducing cost of running government. its a noble idea but remember MDA are allocated on basis of political patronage, its unwise to cut an Agency used to placate a minority voting bloc. if pushed say Oransanya is in EFCC.
  8. Independent Candidacy. Another Bananas peel, If this is passes popular Nigerians will have the ability to easily win elections. Its competition. be careful.
  9. Official Cars: you must buy a SUV as a official car, your not allowed to use the car pool or ask where the past DG ‘s SUV is. Obey.
  10. Religious Pilgrimage; Finally when cutting costs or pruning budgets, dont touch allocations for religious pilgrimages. Dont
